Where did the idea come from for Lubbat Consulting?

The needs of startup entrepreneurs have changed rather significantly in a remarkably brief period, and when I first came up with the idea for Lubbat Consulting, it seemed clear that there were very few places startup founders could find the right kind of assistance for overcoming the challenges brought about by such rapid changes.

What qualities are most important in predicting future entrepreneurial success?

I’ve had the great pleasure of working with a countless number of successful entrepreneurs, and I’ve found that the old venture capital cliché about investing in people is more or less accurate. I enjoy working with entrepreneurs who are confident enough to seek the opinions of others and value opportunities to discuss viewpoints that differ from their own.

What motivates you each day?

My family is often my greatest source of motivation, and they have always been incredibly supportive of my work even if it means we are not able to spend as much time together as we might like. Of course, my consulting work is inherently rewarding and rarely requires any extrinsic source of motivation.

Would you do anything differently if you were to start again?

Perhaps if I thought about this for a while longer, I would recognize something I’d do differently, but there is nothing that stands out to me at the moment.

What is the one thing you do over and over as a business consultant and recommend everyone else do?

As a business consultant, I am always focused on building upon and strengthening my professional relationships with my clients. My focus on cultivating long-lasting relationships built on mutual trust and support is one of the key reasons I’ve been so successful throughout my consulting career.

How do you overcome the challenges you encounter as a professional?

It depends on the individual situation, as each challenge comes with different circumstances surrounding it and it certainly features a broad range of potential outcomes based on how it is approached. However, I try to take a patient, analytical approach when dealing with a challenging situation, which allows me to identify the best possible course of action for overcoming the challenge, whatever it may be.
