>>The difference between terrorism and democracy is, democracy does not practice barbaric terror; even on those who's actions were barbaric.

What a wonderfully naive, black-and-white world you live in! If only it were that simple.

Perhaps you should talk to the relatives of the hundreds of thousands of dead Iraqis who were killed by barbaric invaders from the US before you decide about the "inherent goodness" of so-called democratic countries.

Please remove the comments; I made an error of judgement; I am truly sorry.

"Having read limited reseach on Czech Psychiatric Hospitals; I was concerned as to the legal satus of people who suffer from illness. Also when was the last review of patient needs; human rights and updating care to E.U. standards."

The western world-Canada included-has the cities full of "street people" that were released from psychiatric institution(for humanitarian reasons)Statistics show that 80% of street people are former psychiatric patient and/or drug addicts which is a form of mental illness.
The "rights" of mental patients in western world were "upheld" but their situation in most cases was made worse as no alternative for them was provided.
So these EU "standards" are just an empty world in my opinion.

James Poulter makes a valid comment. When I research the numbers of detentions; type of treatment; (re-education camps), enforced denouncing of faith and insistance that you implicate others; it gets more disturbing. In rural areas; mobile 'capital punishment' units of lethal injection in conjunction with local 'magistrate' courts. It does hightlight one fact;
The Chinese regime views 'faith', practicing ideas freely; as threats. More so; 'membership' is not required; this must upset the ruling regime the most. The idea of free association; without rules; no writen names; is to much for the regimes paranoia. Communism has always feared a 'higher power' or spirit; where people are attracted to morality is the great 'party boss' fear. Why? Those in 'human power' are aware of thier absence of morality; torture is an abortion of human morals. Spirit will always insist on being free from any ideological machine; 70 million (estimate) spiritual humans choose deference to a higher form of power. It is this spirit that will change China over a period of time; totalitarian control and indoctrination can never extinquish a power that is greater than they are. The spirit that is freely given to all humans at birth.

Recent details on British Intelegence services; MI5; MI6; comming out of the USA; are now reaching a point that silence in the U.K. press is deafening. Concerning the fact I live in the U.K I gather no comfort in writing this. As the Nuremberg trials first indicated; complicity of evil; in collusion, have no place in humanity. The investigations current in USA ;which are very brave and hounarable; in treatment of humans in detention are further testiomony to a changing USA that is turning the pages of its own history that the American people can be proud of. The difference between terrorism and democracy is, democracy does not practice barbaric terror; even on those who's actions were barbaric. There is due legal process as mandated by the people; not clandistine collusion by the few.

Having read limited reseach on Czech Psychiatric Hospitals; I was concerned as to the legal satus of people who suffer from illness. Also when was the last review of patient needs; human rights and updating care to E.U. standards. Also is thier a complaints procedure where clients rights are heard by independant panels. What assurances can be given that 'admission' to these 'institutions' are on health reasons and that no one is detained for reasons that would infringe human rights.
Read my lips, I will be looking into details as a voice for those silienced by inhumanity.
'reporters collaberation welcome',

Yeah, really great article, and interesting comments too. I think the world's media is beginning to wake up to the atrocities that are happening in China; and hopefully also will the business community, lest they become complict in collaborating in genocide when the full truth is revealed in time.
Once again, great article. Thank you very much.

Falundafa.org is where more information can be found about the spiritual group or it's persecution from first person reports, to third party links which are not affiliated with the Chinese Cummunist Party.

I have been following the torture and persecution of Falun Gong by the Chinese Communist Government for almost 10 years now. It is sad how millions have been tortured, raped, organ harvested, beaten and put in concentration camps, yet we don't hear much about it in the main channels of the media because of our trade ties with china. However, Human Rights Watch, Amnesty International, United Nation and special Reports have addressed this strongly. Nevertheless, it is not in the main media, besides Clinton, Bush never spoke out, and Obama has refrained from making direct remarks on Falun Gong's Persecution in the main media.

On top of that, a lot of the Chinese living or studying here in the West are either Chinese Communist Spy's, or have sworn life membership to the Communist Party, in turn before they fly out to the U.S or Europe, their government coaches them strictly to attack or spread wild rumors about Falun Gong, or say that China has freedom and does not torture and organ harvest it's own people.

How can a people representing the Chinese Government's Communist Party be so evil as to rape, turtore and persecture a spirtual group who try's to live by Truthfulness, Compassion, and Tolerance?
