Interesting, some Czech words date to 400bc from the celtic boii. As my history limits me; I will wish all readers of this book well. The interpretation of text is sacred.

Great article and an incredible topic. I'm thrilled that there is a modern translation of the Bible in Czech. I look forward to teaching Bible studies with my youth group with this updated text... especially from the Old Testament. Thanks to the translators and those who worked so hard and/or gave financial gifts so this work could be completed.

Blessed are those servants ,whom the lord when he cometh shall find watching:verily I say unto you, that he shall gird himself and make them to sit down to meat, and will come forth and serve them.Luke12:37 John Mikolaj USA

For a country that holds place in Europe for its lack of religious fervor, it will be interesting to watch, over a period of years, the effect a new translation of the Bible will have on the numbers of the faithful. (as well as the quality of literature produced)

I wonder where the Slovaks are on this path? They are so much more active in faith. This article would have had more depth if comparisons to other Slavic-speaking countries had been explained, not just the Germanic side.
