CENTER A new community center at BB Centrum is scheduled to finish next May. Construction is set to begin this summer. The building will be used to celebrate masses and hold seminars, among other activities, officials say. Construction will be funded by the Maranatha civic association. The new building will have two above-ground floors spread over an area of 2,200 square meters. Apart from a kindergarten, the premises will also serve the needs of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church. ZŁOTA Orco Property Group has won multiple awards for its Złota 44 development in Poland. The company achieved top honors in the categories of Architecture, Redevelopment, High-Rise Architecture and High-Rise Development in the CNBC Europe & Africa Property Awards 2008 competition. OFFICE Skanska Property Czech Republic has signed two new lease contracts with Bolton Czechia and Conteg for the office building Vyšehrad Victoria in Prague. Bolton Czechia will lease an office space of 243 square meters on the second floor in the building. The premises will be the new headquarters for their Czech operations. Czech company Conteg will lease a space of 347 square meters on the sixth floor. Conteg will move to Vyšehrad in November 2008.LEASED ProLogis has leased 19,600 square meters of modern industrial space in Bucharest to Centrum Logistics, a European provider of third-party logistics services. Centrum will occupy space in a new distribution center being developed at ProLogis Park Bucharest A1, located along the Bucharest-Pitesti highway. Centrum is consolidating its existing operations there and will expand into the new facility, which totals 27,900 square meters, once it is completed before the end of the year. HANDOVER Plaza Centers N.V. has formally completed the handover of Plzeň Plaza to Klépierre SA. The shopping and entertainment center, located in Plzeň, west Bohemia, was pre-sold to Klépierre in July 2005 and includes a supermarket on the lower ground floor, a 10-screen cinema, a variety of restaurants and cafés and a bowling and entertainment center. There are more than 90 shops in the center. RAIFFEISEN Due to its continuing expansion in Hungary, Raiffeisenbank has chosen to move its new offices to Arena Corner, owned by Endurance Fund and managed by ORCO Property Group. By leasing more than 8,000 square meters, Raiffeisenbank will become a major tenant in the building. With the arrival of the new tenant, the occupancy level of Arena Corner will increase from 13 percent at the acquisition to more than 80 percent. RANKING Central Europe is one of the most attractive European locations for industrial and logistic activities, according to the European Distribution Report published by Cushman & Wakefield. While Belgium retains the top position, second place is occupied by the Netherlands, followed by Hungary, the Czech Republic and Poland. Slovakia, appearing in the report for the first time ever, made ninth position. ORCHARD Two months after opening the second phase of The Orchard office complex in Ostrava, Red Group, the project’s investor and developer, has signed lease contracts for nearly half of the 12,000-square-meter, five-story office building. Remaining space in the building is currently under negotiations with potential tenants. according to Red Group.
