PIZZA TIME

Pizza Marzano invites Prague schoolchildren to learn the art of pizza throwing at its new restaurant on Wenceslas Square. For more information, e-mail pizzamarzano@pizzamarzano.cz.

TRADITIONS

In early December, students at the English International School, Prague received a visit from Mikuláš and the Angel, who asked the kids whether they'd been naughty or nice during the year. Students also participated in a traditional Nativity performance (far right) for their parents.

BISP

The British International School, Prague (BISP) held its Grammar School Christmas House Competition Dec. 14. Students are divided into teams or "houses." Students prepare a day of music, dance, drama, poetry and song to compete for the Inter-house trophy. The 2006 winner was the Dvořák house.

AUTHOR

BISP's Martina Babiarová, an eighth-grader, will make her writing debut in The Prague Marathon Book. Martina wrote a story about an overweight kid who amazes himself and his classmates by winning a marathon. The book will be published around March 1.

FAIR

The BISP Kamyk Primary Christmas Fair was held Dec. 12. The event is run by the children for the children. Each class prepares a stall with fun activities. All money raised was put toward buying outdoor play equipment for the Kamyk Primary School.
