The lack of transparency in the USA on a multiple level of issues showed leadership that had replaced mature diplomacy at international level with unilateral decision making process that alienated many. The USA still lead the way in foriegn aid and media reporting from 'dark secritive' regimes. The importance of this new administration in being a true beakon of hope and goodwill is underway and the world needs this. The contribution made by the USA over many decades is a wonderful gift. On occasion some 'home examination' does no harm, and the past administration is where its is, in the past. A stronger E.U. with its transatlantic historical links needs united diplomatic strength to give hope; experience, and leadership by example to fledgling countries who's youth look towards Mr Obama as an example of 'Yes we can' in thier own backyards. Cleaning up democracy in the front garden seems a good place to start.
