One of Shakespeare's most ambitious tragedies, Antony and Cleopatra premieres Aug. 17 as part of the Summer Shakespeare Festival taking place in the courtyard of Prague Castle. The largest and oldest open-air festival of its kind in Europe, the festival promises a series of evocative dramatic renditions, with the historical depiction of these other famous star-crossed lovers sure to be one of the highlights. The performance is in Czech, which may hinder the enjoyment of some foreign audiences, but the experience of enjoying the Bard's work in such a magnificent location more than compensates.
