Plácido Domingo stars in MET broadcast of Verdi

Verdi's political thriller Simon Boccanegra will be broadcast live from the Metropolitan Opera this Saturday, with Plácido Domingo, center, switching from his usual tenor to baritone in the title role. Adrianne Pieczonka, Marcello Giordani, James Morris and Nicola Alaimo round out a solid cast, and James Levine will be in the pit. Domingo taking the stage is always an event, and the HD broadcasts have been a wonder, putting the audience right on stage. Kinos Aero and Světozor, Feb. 6 at 6:45
