Carl Orff's Carmina Burana will take over the Congress Center Jan. 5 with its monumental emotional intensiveness. Orff based the scenic cantata, first performed in 1937, on a couple dozen poems he found in the medieval volume Carmina Burana. These will only be enhanced by the lasers, pyrotechnics and other special effects at the Congress Center. Tickets cost 590-1,490 Kč.
