I wonder why the use of cannabis in Czech have the highest prevalence in EU?
Many consider marijuana no harm and just a little fun in parties or pubs, but why Czech got the highest?

What a total waste of resources to invest in a drug far more innocuous than alcohol. Downright absurd.

" no demonstrated health risks is considered a scourge by authorities."

I don't know where you are getting your information but overwhelming majority of harmful chemicals that is present in tobacco is also present in marijuana.
On top of it its psychotropic properties lessen the desire to succeed in lifa and is as well a starting point to usage of even more devastating grugs.

If you can read Czech,I recomend that you read the book "Plavci na Sazave" written in first republic by Moravek.

We have to ask ourselves--not just in Czech Republic but the United States as well--why a naturally occurring and hardy plant with proven medicinal properties and no demonstrated health risks is considered a scourge by authorities. Could it be that it poses a threat to more entrenched corporate interests such as those of breweries, distilleries, and tobacco growers? The time has come to accept marijuana as essentially beneficial and cease this pointless war on drugs. Thank you.

It's all to easy to take the liberal approach and state people can do with thier bodies as they choose. At what point amongst friends should concern be shown when someone is sliping into 'the twighlight world'. To say drug use is harmless is not responsible; and recognition of very real dangers should be highlighted. There is nothing glamerous about a car crash; nothing attractive about tragedy through misadventure. The arguments about legality are government affairs; but looking out for a friend who needs a helping hand may be worth a thought. The hope that people live full lives and have the benefits of a free and democratic society are good. Not to have the chance of these benefits from 'liberal head in the sand' attitudes seems a risk not worth taking. There needs to be some caution and reminders that life is precious and some rules of general health for guidance are good things.
