Yes, and one day the whole outfit will move to a more appropriate city like Germania, oops, correction, Berlin.

"This is just one example(from the world press) what Lisbon Treaty will mean for Czech Republic
Nobody wrote about such results of LT before ratification."

What Jiri?

"Besides, the Treaty of Lisbon would make EU, EC and the European Parliament (EP) more independent of the EU member nations. In accordance with the Treaty of Lisbon, legislative procedure will apply to more than 40 new policy areas, and a unanimous decision would be taken by EC and a majority of the EP. This will significantly raise the decision-making efficiency in EU and create a European super-state hallmark of the EC."

This is what I was referring to

just a quick question maybe i dont quite understand but...the czech opt out of the charter of fundamental rights is only out of part of the charter.ie parts concerning the benes decrees etc or have they just been duped again and opted out of the entire charter of rights on the pretext of a ghost story of another german invasion of 90 year olds to rob them of their weekend cottages

To those I may have let down on occasion; I appologise; to those who loved me; forever;
One thing I know;
and God Knows;
Don't ever say I never loved your country.

Why the opinions of academics are newsworthy when every dog on the street is aware ratification of the treaty is a step closer is as mystifying as opposition to President Klaus' concerns.

Only after the first referendum did the Irish Prime Minister seek to ensure Ireland's sovereignty, as defined by its constitution, was not affected.

Czechs should be thankful their highest state of office has scrutinised national long-term interests for the sake of ruffling bureaucratic feathers throughout Europe. They are, after all, only more politicians.

If Czech Republic left the ECHR then it would leave the EU. The C harter is a different issue. The EU only functions with the ECHR. If the EU fanatics are now saying to abandon the rules of the ECHR in order to get their super state then that tells us all.

That's so funny Spencer Duke. Because, the anti-EU people in the Czech Republic (your ideological brethren, that is) like to opt out of European agreements on human rights. Weren't you aware of that?

This court hearing has been invalid as it contravenes Article 6 European Convention on Human Rights. It needs to be heard again. Doesn't anyone in the Czech Republic understand this fact? What kind of law schools do they have over there???!!!
