Once in a while politics presents a very complex and difficult job. The current extremist activities have many living in fear. Jiri Komorous has the chance to make it clear to those who promote violence and intimidation that it will be outlawed wherever it is found. This may be the time when a man has to challenge the inner core of institutions that he has had to work with in other matters. To walk into a job and say; 'There will have to be changes here' won't be easy. However; maybe this is the time put the past to bed and give a minister the support to ensure extremism; whether internal' or external is not tolerated and human rights prevail.

Every now and again poitics gives the chance for someone to be steadfast and shine. Jiri Komorous now first deputy interior minister has a difficult portfolio in his in tray; extremism'. A lot has been written about Jiri's past, but in a tolerant imperfect present, its best left there.
The institutionalised and deep rooted thinking that harbours extreme racism will be no easy task and it may stretch a man to his limits. It may on occasion require challenging 'the system' and at times leave the individual with painful options that have to be adresssed to safeguard Czech; E.U. citizens. Mr Komorous has an opportunity; with some wise council to make it clear; that human rights for all citizens shall have no barriers; within the system, or outside it.

Surley this falls under the laws of 'Terrorism' ; it is clear that a clandistine movement, political in nature has decided to take the laws of genocide into its doctrine. Mr Havel suggested that now a new wave of young people should get involved in civic and political life.
Within the current cabnet there seems to be a reluctance to adressing 'deliberate murder attempts' on Czech citizens. An influx of younger vocal humanists can be achieved at the ballot box voting. If push comes to shove massive demonstrations in the city centre with numbers that send a clear message may jolt legislative constipation.
