The article certainly is interesting in the context of secret E.U banking laws that have opperated in secret without notice for years. Once these banking laws are challenged by E.U. law they may throw up some 'interesting questions' regrading large transactions.

This story is frustrating to read. It's a classic example of the Prague Post taking a passing glance at a major issue because it has popped up in the Czech press. And, as usual, the paper fails to make clear what's going on to international readers. What is the Prague Post for if not that?

This sentence would not make much sense in any language to a non arms dealer or non-MP:

However, Janda pointed out that, because local arms exports operate on a two-part system of general permits and transaction-specific licenses, "It is necessary to eliminate the third-party threat at the first step - the permits. After that, it is too late."

Does anyone read this copy before it goes out? What the Post should do, if it is interested in serving the community, is mount proper, in-depth coverage of serious issues like murky arms trading. Why not do this story as a series and put together something meaningful and insightful instead of chasing a complicated small wrinkle about an eight-word phrase?

Your readers hope for and deserve better planning next time.
