While not a fan of Mr. Duke in the slightest, I am one of the thousands who had relatives executed in Ukraine or gassed. You and I both know the Holocaust is fact. That Mr. Duke denies this fact does not change the fact. However, I despise the Orwellian arrest by the Czech "Thought Police." Let the deluded man deny whatever he wishes. Make him take his meds and let him go. Thought control and suppression of free speech, no matter how much we hate the speaker, is an egregious act. A free society should not tolerate it.

I am not a supporter of David Duke but I AM curious............If a high profile individual from Iran visited The Czech Republic.........And if this person had publicly stated that the holocaust never happened..........Would the Arab be arrested for the same reason David Duke was arrested?

Has Mr Duke any plans to give lectures in the Congo, South Africa, or Zimababwe?

In context; what has been the KKK's record on human rights and racial integration?

Agree with nicep nicep, but by the way, what racial justice???. The one of Herr Klaus??? . What a disgrace that such wonderful country had fallen so deep, when was the centre of Central European culture for ages, obvioulsy under the benign rule of the House of Habsburg Lothringen not under Benes or worst Herr Klaus and his clique.

It is funny to read some opinions about racism in the Czech Republic. Racism has bee a fact since 1918, and worst since 1945, our you had forgotten that millions of people, even those who were never Nazi sympathizers were expelled, sent to prison and even murdered just because they were from Austrian or Germanic roots, the same happened with Magyars and from other ethnicities than "pure Slavic". For centuries the Kingdom of Bohemia was a multinational and multicultural state, and most Czechs had spoken German as its first language, only amongst the peasants the Czech was regularly spoken. Edvard Benes started a terrible ordeal for millions who for ages considered themselves as loyal subjects of the King of Bohemia (the Habsburg dynasty after the battle of Mohacs in 1524). I had been in Prague and if you speak in German, maybe elderly and well educated people will answer you, but xenophobia is present everywhere. Vaclav Klaus (a quite German family name) is one of the outstanding champions of a pseudo Czech "pure" ethnicity. I disliked a lot people of KKK, but there are similar movements within Bohemia and Moravia right now. What a disgrace till 1918 the former Kingdom was a wonderful example of a peaceful coexistence of different nationalities, like was in general all the Dual Monarchy, which was betrayed by Benes and other "ultra nationalists", I can say that just because my Austrian roots are an obstacle to recover my family property in Karlsbad (Karlovy Vary) and in Moravia, in spite that we went to exile in 1938 because of our anti Nazi credentials.

The Czech police acted correctly in this matter. The StB would have been,
shall we say, more proactive?

I though Mr Duke was the boyfriend of Daisy Duke from the Dukes of hazard who had lost her on a sight seeing tour of a polevka factory in Jablonec. Thank you for enlightening me.

I don't understand why you would or could arrest someone just for their opionions and thought. This is more like the Gestapo than I think any modern Czech would like. I don't agree with this fellow but to arrest him using these tactics is absolutely absurd and does not reflect well upon the Czech Republic.

Well, obviously, Czech racial justice extends to foreigners, but not to Czechs.
