"All they have to do, is extend equal human and civil rights, to ALL their citizens. Roma (Gypsies) and other minority groups, need the proposed Affirmative Action Plan, so they too can have the tools necessary to help them integrate into the modern, global economy. The racist, selfish and xenophobic citizens in these countries will always stand in the way of Minority social and economic justice."

Man, how much time did you spent in the proximity of some Gypsy community in Central Europe? May I guess? Did you just fell from the Moon?

What are you talking about, for God's sake? Gypsies already have such extraordinary "rights" that an ordinary citizen can only dream of. They don't have to pay for rent, electricity or water, they destroy new houses that they got, don't send their kids to school, annoy their neighbours by crime and noisy behaviour, and laugh at them that they must go to work every morning. I would say that they feel fine!

Why do you think that Gypsies are universally hated in every country they enter? And why are their social and crime stats always so similar? Is it some conspiracy? And why are they loved only by heartbleeding simpletons of your type, who live in countries, where no Gypsy is present?

The roots of the "rising racist activity" are simple - as in other countries in Central Europe and the Balkans: Due to a bad social policy of benefits for children that was abused especially by Gypsies on a mass scale, their population in the Czech republic has exploded from ca. 60 000 in 1970 to today's estimated 250 000. Naturally, as the Gypsy population increases, so does proportionally their crime rate. In 1990, when Gypsies made up only 1.5% of the population, they were responsible for 18.4% of total crime. How much it is now can be only estimated, because such stats would be "racist". But one-quarter is on the conservative side. This easily explains, why there is such a fuss around them like if they made up one-quarter of the population.

Far right supporters who break the law may benefit from doing a 'rehabilitation flower arranging course' based in Terezin camp. On completion a visit to Dauchu in Poland; and some education on human rights, a clockwork orange may some day become a decent peach!

Only 20 years of demoncracy would put the Czech Culture at about the level equivalent of the 1950s and 1960s U.S. Things are changing. It will take some time. I would guestimate less them fifty years.

These governments need to stop making their Minority populations into Scapegoats! All of these countries are getting generous financial bail outs, from other countries. All they have to do, is extend equal human and civil rights, to ALL their citizens. Roma (Gypsies) and other minority groups, need the proposed Affirmative Action Plan, so they too can have the tools necessary to help them integrate into the modern, global economy. The racist, selfish and xenophobic citizens in these countries will always stand in the way of Minority social and economic justice. As long as their governments allow them to do this, there will be no progress. The people will do what their governments allow them do, to their minority population. If the citizens are allowed to persecute, discriminate, harass and degrade their Minority citizens, then they will continue to do so. They enjoy taking out their frustrations on their Minority punching bags. Stiffen up the discrimination laws. Once hate criminals start going to prison, the rest of society will change their ways, soon enough. If the leaders of the country can't even control a few racist hooligan mobs, then they are not fit to run the country.
