When the Czech Republic voted on joining the European Union many of us foriegners that live here permanently advised all our Czech friends to vote NO as the Czech Republic was getting a raw deal ie. farmer subsidies...but many Czechs only saw the money that they would make from the EU and so we voted YES. Now we see how we have been taken for a ride but its too late. EU wanted us to join as we are a consumer market for them and they would have revised the rules for us to join....its no use crying over spilt milk, next time we are asked to vote look further than the quick money that we think we will make.
