Elections may drive recovery

Economic; but also political recovery. The realisation that politics has also had a 'meltdown' may sway voting towards principle. Economic 'promises will be a harder 'sell' if lack of attention to peoples views on principles swings towards more 'unilateral' entrenchment. The 'Caretaker' govt will have period where its performance can be measured. It would be ironic if it outperformed 'star quality political figures' and reminded the voters that simple government works better than 'dramatic posturing' and individual ambition.
