Most comprehensive Halloween Roundup EVER

Okay, so I lied – it’s ALMOST the most comprehensive roundup – but actually.. make sure to pick up The Prague Post Night & Day section on Wednesday, which will feature a list with even more parties.

This picture was just too cool - it's from a blog called JR Cigar Blog...

But I do want you to know this list didn’t come from some puny little Google search – this was painstaking research of the calendars on every bar and club website that I could think of. So some of this is obvious.. but some of it… you’ll only find it here! And thanks to all of you who sent in your entries – if you have something you want added to the list, just shoot me an email and we’ll put it on… and then it will really be the most comprehensive roundup EVER.

Club Duplex has a Halloween party with music by Pete Brandy and Kleton on Oct. 30.

The Red Room has an open mic night – but you had better be in costume, or you’re not getting any stage time. There’s prizes for best costumes as well. That’s on Oct. 31 at 8 p.m.

Hard Rock Cafe is having a pretty sweet Halloween Party featuring a live DJ and the Rock Star Zombies. There will also be a special Halloween cocktail and shots menu, and a complimentary drink for those who show up in costume. That’s on Oct. 30 starting at 8 p.m., and there’s no cover.

Lucerna Music Club is having an 80s and 90s video party. It’s not actually an official Halloween Party.. but I figured if you showed up in costume, it would not only be accepted, but appreciated… That’s on the Oct. 30, starting at 8 p.m. Entry is 100 Kc.

Cloud Nine is having a Halloween party, with a welcome PUMPKIN SHOT! I have no idea what that is, but it sounds delicious. They also have a special Halloween cocktail menu, and you get a free Halloween cocktail if you are in costume. Live music will be provided by DJ Don Marquez. That’s Oct. 30.

Blind Eye, which is sort of closed but not really, is having a Halloween fest – no doubt any crazy costume will go there. That’s on Oct. 31, so I guess wear whatever is left of your costume from Saturday night…

The Globe is having a Halloween party featuring live music by Vinnie Price and the Tainted Treats starting at 8 p.m., drink specials and prizes for best costumes. That’s Oct. 30.

Friends Prague, a gay bar and lounge, is having a Halloween party featuring DJ Tiff on on Oct. 29 – they’re open from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. – so you can really go all out.

Retro Music Hall Discotheque has a Halloween party with special Halloween cocktails, plus, the BEST THING EVER – they are going to have the Thriller dance performed by Art Direction! There’s no cover, and that’s on Oct. 30.

Club Temple is having the Witches and Bitches ball on Oct. 30.

If you don’t mind a little bit of a trip for a great party, U Zvírátek Pub at Tiché Udolí 66 in Roztoky u Prahy is having a Halloween party on Oct. 30 – at 2 p.m. there’s the kid’s part with pumpkin carving, treats and games. Then starting at 6 p.m. there’s live music by Vintage “vampire” wine, special Halloween food and an extensive list of Halloween cocktails.

Hells Bells Rockin’ Pub is not actually having a Halloween party, but this place looks pretty hardcore, and seems like an appropriate destination for Halloween – they’re open until 3 a.m. on Saturday, and midnight on Sunday.

Prague Saints gay bar has drink specials and people will be wearing costumes, according to expats.cz, but I don’t see anything listed on their website… that’s Oct. 30.

Belushi’s is having an Evening for Screams, where you can get a free special cocktail, and other drink and food specials throughout the night. Dead Souls and DJ Stevie Weenie will be providing the music, and there’ll be costume prizes and competitions, too. That’s on Oct. 30 starting at 7 p.m., and entry is 100 Kc in advance, and 150 Kc at the door.

The Monster Ball at Klub Kostel will be Oct. 29, and will feature Tam-Tam orchestra, the United Flavour’s Djei & sista Carmen with DJ Damalistik, and DJs Big J and Pat Heart. A costume contest will be held, and judged by Dr. Bob. Proceeds are going to be donated to Nadace Partnerství.

Orrrr.. if you’re like me and you dig the haunted house experience you can try getting on a tour of haunted parts of Prague with McGee’s Ghost Tours – I’m not sure if it’s hard to book a tour for Halloween, but if it is you can search around their website and figure out the haunted destinations and go yourself.. it might even be scarier that way.

Of course, there are some pretty great cemeteries around Prague as well for your very own ghost tour – there’s the Jewish Cemetery, and the Olšanské  Cemetery and the Vyšehrad Cemetery where a bunch of famous people are buried.
