
As reported earlier this week, Czech mobile companies are charging an estimated 20 percent more than their counterparts in neighboring countries. This disparity is never more obvious than when travelling, of course, at which time rates can become prohibitively high, especially if you’re surfing abroad with mobile internet.
In the wake of its success with pushing through a union-wide cap on regular roaming charges, the European Commission is now proposing to bring down data roaming charges – which currently have no EU price limit – to 50 cents per megabyte in 2014.
