Old Town’s Bethlehem Chapel will host some very special guests tomorrow night, in a January treat for choral music fans.
The 46 singers and organist of the Princeton University Chapel Choir are coming to the Golden City to take part in a choral triple bill also involving the choir of Charles University and that of the Jan Neruda high school.
Kathie Schmoll of concert promoters Firebird Fine Arts tells the Velvet Violin that the program “ranges from music from the Middle Ages to spirituals, and includes works by American, Czech, English, Russian and German composers.”
“The highlight will be the Lord’s Prayer by Janácek, a beautiful work with two choirs, organ and harp,” she adds. What’s more, entry is free of charge so you’ll have no better excuse to take in some classical music and brighten up a cold January Tuesday evening.
