PHONES The number of fixed lines provided by Telefónica O2 dropped 300,000 to 1.996 million subscribers last year, the telecom reported May 25. The decrease, which is less than a similar fall recorded in 2005, is largely attributed to the fixed line’s replacement by the mobile phone. Meanwhile, Telefónica O2 has 5.16 million mobile phone clients.
