U:fon appoints tech chief

MobilKom, the operator of the U:fon wireless network, has named Zdeněk Bílek as its chief technical officer.In 1998, Bílek, 35, joined Eurotel Praha, where he held various technical and managerial positions.

When Eurotel and Český Telecom merged to form what is now Telefónica O2, in 2006, Bílek was appointed integration manager. In 2007, he worked for Telefónica O2 Slovakia as director for strategy and development. He is a graduate of the Czech Technical University in Prague, where he studied at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering. From 2004 to 2006, he attended the CMC Graduate School of Business, and this year, he received an EMBA from the University of Pittsburgh’s Katz Graduate School of Business. The charter aircraft operator ABS Jets, part of the J&T Group, has named David Kyjovský its managing director and chairman, replacing Marián Jančařík. Kyjovský, 45, is an expert in aviation, previously working for the international financial group PPF.Under Jančařík, 31, ABS Jets tripled the number of aircrafts it operated since 2005, becoming the largest business jet operator in the new European Union member states. This year, construction of ABS Jets’ new hangar at Prague’s Ruzyně Airport will begin, allowing the company to double its hangar space.Josh Ellis

has been appointed director of PricewaterhouseCoopers’ forensic services group. In this role, Ellis, 29, will be responsible for managing the development of the regional forensic technology solutions (FTS) practice. Ellis has more than eight years of IT experience, six of which have been spent specializing in forensic technology within Central and Eastern Europe. He has worked in various industries, with experience in the telecom, banking and manufacturing industries.Ellis is a graduate of the University of London. Lenk comes from the Euro RSCG advertising and marketing agency, where he spent six years, most recently serving as director of the firm’s digital division. He graduated from the University of Economics in Prague and is an experienced marketing and software specialist.Hráček has been in charge of launching and maintaining many online marketing campaigns, including the online marketing of Fann, a chain of perfumeries, and the Web site Visible.cz.
