Hartley joins AQ Okna

AQ Okna has named Karen Hartley as its chief executive officer, effective Feb. 1.

Hartley joins Okna, a leading manufacturer of windows and doors, from the Orco Property Group.
At Orco, Hartley most recently served as the European sales and marketing director and was a member of the executive committee. In this role, she was responsible for all of Orco’s residential sales and coordination of the firm’s corporate marketing and branding activities.
Hartley has 15 years of experience in the country and speaks fluent Czech. She has years of sales experience, including significant resort development in emerging markets.
Pedersen & Partners, the Prague-based executive search firm with offices throughout Central and Eastern Europe, has appointed Sabit Tapan as partner and co-owner.
Tapan, who has been Pedersen’s country manager for Turkey, has extensive experience conducting executive search assignments across Eastern Europe and Turkey, in sectors including consumer products, retail, financial services and real estate. He joined Pedersen in 2004 after working for 10 years with Coca-Cola in Turkey, the United States and Russia. Most recently, he was regional general manager for Coca-Cola’s northwest Russia region, based in St. Petersburg.
Tapan holds a B.S. in finance from Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts. He speaks Turkish and English.
Juliane Wiemerlage has been appointed to the position of corporate senior vice president for human resources at the Henkel consumer goods company.

Wiemerlage has worked in HR management for almost 20 years with different national and international companies. Before joining Henkel, she worked as a HR director in Deutsche Bank. She began her career with IBM Deutschland, where she was appointed HR director in 1999.
