Skanska names president

Skanska Czech Republic, the country’s largest construction group, has announced that Dan Ťok will succeed Zdeněk Burda as president this February.

Burda has received multiple awards for his leadership, including Manager of the Year in 2005. He will remain with Skanska through the end of 2008, serving as the company’s chairman of the board. Burda had overseen Skanska’s construction in the Czech Republic and Slovakia since 2000, when Skanska acquired the company he led, IPS.
Ťok currently serves as the director of the industrial division of the Prague oil company KKCG. He has extensive experience in industry, previously holding senior management positions in local subsidiaries of ABB, Alstom and RWE.
The real estate services firm Cushman & Wakefield has appointed Philip Wood as its head of office investment for the Czech Republic. He will join the firm as an associate partner.

Wood has three years of experience in the market, working at DTZ as its head of office. Prior to that, he spent seven years in London providing development, leasing and marketing advice on some of the United Kingdom’s highest profile office projects. He holds a bachelor’s degree in estate surveying from Nottingham Trent University.
The real estate agency Lexxus has appointed Peter Višňovský as its new managing director.

Višňovský has worked at Lexxus since 2001 in various capacities, most recently as managing director of the firm’s new home center division. He is a graduate of the Faculty of Law at Charles University and has worked in the real estate field for seven years.
The bank Poštovní spořitelna has tapped Martin Kovář to serve as its ombudsman and director for client care.
Kovář has rich experience in the field and has led or participated in projects focused on clients in the IT field, state administration and the foundation sector; he has also been a high school teacher. Kovář is a graduate of Charles University.
The online real estate firm Bezrealitky.cz has named Božena Zbranková its marketing director.

Zbranková will graduate this year from the University of Economics in Prague, where she specializes in economics and management. She has been a consultant in France for the Ogilvy Group, focusing on marketing strategies for Internet and digital media. She has also studied marketing at the Smurfit School of Business in Dublin.
