Under Manske’s guidance, Škoda designed the next generation Superb among other models, several of which have entered into production. Manske moves on to VW’s design department.
Kaban, 34, most recently worked as head of exterior design at Audi AG, another VW subsidiary. He joined VW while still a student at the Academy of Fine Arts & Design in Bratislava, finishing second in a Škoda brand design competition. At VW, Kaban first worked as a junior designer and later as an exterior designer.
In 1999, Kaban developed the design of the Bugatti Veyron, leading the design from its first sketches to mass production. Kaban joined Audi in 2003 and was responsible for designing various mass-produced vehicles and concept cars.
In other automotive news, Vladimír Vošický, the Czech Republic’s manager for the Ford Motor Company, has been tapped to direct Ford’s Romania Growth Project. Succeeding Vošický in his current position will be Jan Laube.
Vošický, 45, will be based in Bucharest and will coordinate Ford’s next steps in selling consumer and commercial vehicles there.
Laube, 40, who previously worked as a sales director at Ford  and in various other capacities for the firm in the country for 12 years, will become Ford’s new general manager. He has detailed knowledge of the local car market and experience building the company’s dealer network.
The regional public relations firm Mmd has added new consultants to its team.
Magdaléna Marešová has been appointed an account manager. Previously, she worked for Save Max Agency, where she was responsible for public relations and marketing. She has experience in media relations, strategic planning, media campaigns and the development of corporate social responsibility activities.
