(Updated Dec. 7, 2007) -- Three quarters of respondents in a CVVM public opinion poll said that cooking is a woman's job, according to Czech media reports.
About 70 percent feel that supporting the family is the man's responsibility. Only half of the respondents said that both partners should pull their own load when it comes to housework, shopping for food and child care. Between 43 and 50 percent assigned these tasks to women.
Most respondents said that both women and men should equally enjoy hobbies, social lives, access to education and control over the family budget.
According to CVVM, the opinions of Czech public haven't changed much in the last nine years: women are still judged to be successful if they can juggle a family and a job, whereas men are judged solely according to their career successes.
