Plane crash kills five Czechs

Experts are unsure what caused crash

December 5th, 2007 issue

(Updated Dec. 9, 2007) Five Czechs were killed when a private airplane crashed in the Ukraine, Lidové Noviny wrote on Sunday.

Experts are perplexed about why the luxury version of the Beechcraft 90 crashed on its way from Hradec Kralove to Kiev.

"I knew the pilot personally… He was highly experienced and actually performed retraining of other pilots precisely for this type of airplane," an unnamed source told LN.

What makes the incident even more incomprehensible is that the plane had just undergone a complete checkup and reconstruction of the interior.
