Mmd, a regional public relations company, named Kamila Pavlištová a senior account manager and Romana Kanova new account executive in the Prague office.

Pavlištová is currently studying marketing communications at the Institute of Finance and Administration in Prague. She previously worked in public relations for Marriott International and in event management for Germany’s B. Braun Corp. Pavlišťová graduated from the University of Economics in Prague.
Romana Kanova was previously marketing manager for IT company KARAT Software, a.s. She also has real estate experience overseas. Kanova graduated from the University of Tomáš Baťa in Zlín.
European law firm CMS Cameron McKenna LLP has named Duncan Weston a managing partner.

Duncan Weston was head of the Prague office from 1993 to 1998. In 1995, Weston was named a partner in the company. He is currently managing partner of the firm’s regional office network, and is a lead partner for clients who own private equity in the regional offices of the firm.
Michael Mullen, a partner at Havel & Holásek law office, was elected to the board of directors of the American Chamber of Commerce in the Czech Republic.

Mullen, 40, has been active on the AmCham’s regional development committee. The committee organizes meetings with businesses and government officials with the goal of promoting the regional business environment.
Mullen is a member of the Czech Bar Association and the International Association of Lawyers. He is also a member of the New York State and Illinois State bar associations.
In addition to his native English, Mullen is fluent in Czech. His hobbies are mountain trekking and biking, and wild water rafting.
Quinlan Private Club, a regional property investment agency, has hired three people for an advisory group in its office: Alan Waxman, business manager for new countries; Irena Adámková, cost manager for the Czech Republic; and Martin Makovec, business executive.
Waxman, 37, was previously a director of projects at Barclays Bank. He also served as marketing manager, land assessor and economic adviser in several real estate agencies operating on the European and Israeli markets. He is married and has three children.
Adámková, 32, previously worked at Finep & Partners, a residential real estate company, ČSOB, Plaza Center shopping mall chain and EC Harris, a British property development company, as a real estate finance consultant and cost manager. She graduated from the Faculty of Civil Engineering at the University of Žilina.
Makovec, 26, worked for Ernst & Young and KPMG in the Czech Republic. He has a degree in corporate finance and financial management from the University of Economics in Prague. Makovec likes to play tennis, read and travel.
