The Zlaté bydlo residential housing project lies on Balbínova street, only a few blocks from the city center. Close to the Náměstí Míru and I. P. Pavlova metro and tram stops, Zlaté bydlo offers a mixture of convenience and 21st-century luxury. The building’s original historic facade is kept intact, while the inside has been remodeled to give it a modern-age flare. There are 27 flats, scattered over eight floors. Designers have also taken care to add elegant little touches throughout the building, like an old gallery that was replaced by a “glassed-in modern one.”

Orco Property Group recently announced that the preliminary planning stages of its latest residential and commercial project, Praga, have begun. Construction on the mixed-use, 63,874-square-meter project will start in 2009 and will take a little more than three years to complete. Located in Prague 10 and 15, the Praga development will include 889 housing units. There will also be more than 2,000 square meters dedicated to commercial use. Construction will be broken down into three phases. The first phase will begin in January 2009, with completion planned for July 2010. The second phase will start in November.
STATENICKÝ MLÝN
Location: Statenice, west Bohemia
Size: 26 hectares (64.3 acres)
