Companies test consumer trends

New products get Czech seal of approval

November 14th, 2007 issue

(Updated Nov. 15, 2007)Transnational companies like to test new products and technologies on the Czech consumer market, according to Hospodářské noviny newspaper.

Bref cleaner, made by Germany-based Henkel, was one of the most recent test products. New products are first introduced here, and if the results were good, they're rolled out in other European countries.

Czech consumers are seen as being a good test group with enough extra money to spend on the new test products, experts say. And their tastes and needs are similar to others in the rest of Europe, Hospodářské noviny reports.
