Unipetrol adds execs

The large petrochemical company Unipetrol, part of Poland’s PKN Orlen Group, has added executives to three of its subsidiaries, Benzina, Unipetrol RPA and Unipetrol Services.

Kozik

William Kozik will serve as an executive at Benzina. Kozik, 41, has worked as PKN Orlen’s executive director for retail since February 2007; between 2005 and 2007, he was the group’s retail director in Poland. Kozik worked at the oil company Royal Dutch Shell from 1994 to 2005, including several years as a retail sales manager. He graduated from Warsaw Polytechnic University in 1991, specializing in hydraulics and construction. Jaroslaw Serba will serve at Unipetrol Services. Serba, 35, has worked for PKN Orlen since 2006. Currently, he serves as chairman of the board of directors at Orlen Ksiegowość, the group’s shared financial services center. Before joining PKN Orlen, Serba worked as a manager at Strategic Outsourcing and in the advisory section of IBM. He is a graduate of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at Lublin Technical University in Poland.Czeslaw Adam Bugaj will join Unipetrol RPA as an executive. Bugaj, 51, previously served as the deputy CEO for production at PKN Orlen; he is also a member of Unipetrol’s supervisory board. Bugaj has worked for the group in various capacities since 1970. He is a graduate of Warsaw Technical University, where he specialized in chemistry and technology.

The Czech Republic’s largest brewery, Plzeňský Prazdroj, has appointed Jiří Mareček to serve as the company’s new spokesman.

Mareček joins the brewery after working for five years in the corporate affairs department of Philip Morris CR. At Prazdroj, Mareček will be in charge of external communication, media relations and the corporate site www.prazdroj.cz.He is a graduate of the Faculty of Social Sciences at Charles University, where he studied communication and journalism.
