A raucous New Year's Eve

100,000 visitors expected

October 31st, 2007 issue

Most of Prague's largest hotels are sold out for New Year's Eve, although some have a few vacancies, according to Mladá Fronta Dnes newspaper.

Many bookings for New Year's are made a year in advance, hoteliers say. Many hotels still have vacancies for other days in between Christmas and New Year's Eve, however.

An estimated 87,000 hotel beds exist in the city, according to tourism analyst Jaromír Beránek, and nearly all of them are already occupied.
