Scania splits Dealer

Scania Czech Republic, a subsidiary of the Swedish truck manufacturer, is splitting its Dealer Praha unit into two independent divisions: Dealer Praha will continue to focus on central Bohemia, while the new division, North Czech, will sell to other regions.

Serving as the new head of Dealer Praha will be Antonín Růžička. Prior to joining Scanica, Růžička, 43, was general manager at the American firm Hach Lange; he also headed sales at Bosh Czech Republic. Růžička graduated from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Technology in Brno.

Leading North Czech will be Pavel Minichthaler, who has worked for Scania since 1992. During this time, Minichthaler, 31, has worked in the Czech Republic, Sweden and Australia, holding positions as a mechanic, supply engineer, used-car dealer and coordinator of a used-car sales division. He last served as the head of sales services at Dealer Praha.

The real estate developer ECM has named Antonín Jakubše as its head of corporate affairs. Jakubše will be responsible for ECM’s corporate affairs agenda, corporate governance, information technology, human resources, legal agenda and investor relations.
Jakubše worked for nearly 20 years at Czech Airlines (ČSA), including six years as the company’s president and chairman of the board. After ČSA, Jakubše was appointed president of the aircraft manufacturer Aero Vodochody, where he served for four years.

Quinlan Private Golub, a leading property investment and advisory group, has appointed David Clark as the firm’s new PR and marketing manager for its Central and East European operations.
Clark, 42, worked as business development director at the Kampa Group. Previously, Clark was the managing director and co-owner of Belly, a woman’s clothing brand, and managing director and co-owner of Prague’s Roxy nightclub in the 1990s.
