Home Credit, the large consumer financing firm focusing on Central and Eastern Europe and Asia, has tapped Milan Tománek to serve as its corporate communications manager. Tománek will be responsible for structuring the company’s external and internal communications while directing communication specialists everywhere Home Credit is based. Tománek has spent most of his professional years working in communications. He first worked as a journalist for Czechoslovak TV and later in business communications. For the past 15 years, he’s worked for financial firms, including the Czech National Bank and ČSOB. He is a graduate from the Faculty of Journalism at Charles University and from the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Colorado. He is married with two daughters. Ahold Czech Republic, fresh from announcing its plans to consolidate its Hypernova and Albert stores under the Albert brand, has added two members to its executive staff: Petr Doňar will join the company as its chief financial officer while Milan Strieženec joins as vice president for logistics.

Jiří Rákosník has been named the new business director of the software development company JKR. Rákosník, 43, worked at JKR for 14 years, first as a consultant and, for the last six years, as manager of the business department.

Under Rákosník, the business department increased JKR’s user base and helped transition JKR’s clients to a new software system, called Byznys Win. In his new position, he’ll be in charge of business strategy, communication with branch offices and interacting with key customers.The accounting consulting firm Deloitte Czech Republic has added Václav Olšanský as a senior manager, hiring him from Ernst & Young, where he had worked since 1995. A tax expert, Olšanský, 41, is a member of the Chamber of Tax Advisers of the Czech Republic and a graduate of the Institute of Chemical Technology in Prague.The real estate firm Cushman & Wakefield (C&W) has appointed a new head of valuations for the Czech Republic and Slovakia, Richard Hogg, who will join the company as an associate partner.

Hogg has four years of local valuation experience, previously working for DTZ. Prior to this he worked for C&W in London, where he spent time in both the hotels and valuation departments. He holds a bachelor’s degree in real estate management from Nottingham Trent University.
