Newest SG execs

The Sekyra Group (SG), a Czech-based real estate company, has introduced new top management. As of Oct. 1, the company will add three executives — Luděk Schmidt, Otakar Langer and Radek Janeček — to its current top managers, Leoš Anderle and Ondřej Valenta. The new team will lead Sekyra Group Real Estate (SGRE), a division focusing on real estate development and management.

The move reflects a restructuring of SG, which will be divided into the real estate branch, SGRE, and the public infrastructure branch, SG Infrastructure. Luděk Sekyra will remain the company’s chairman, focusing on strategy and international expansion.SGRE’s new leaders will improve the company’s corporate management standards and strengthen the firm’s position on the Czech and Slovak markets and in the region. Schmidt, the division’s new CEO, previously worked for ING Real Estate Development as a managing director for the Czech Republic. Langer, who will be the chief investment officer, comes from GE Real Estate, where he was a director of asset management. Janeček, appointed chief operating officer, joins SGRE after working as a partner with the international law firm Squire, Sanders & Dempsey. Anderle, who will serve as chief development officer, has worked for Sekyra since 2001, leading, among other projects, the headquarters management of T-Mobile and Nestlé. SGRE’s chief financial officer, Valenta, joined Sekyra in January 2007.Synovate, the multinational market research company, has announced a new CEO for its Central/Eastern Europe and the Middle East (CEEME) division, Kurt Thompson, who will take the position from Nicos Rossides, who is moving on from Synovate after 25 years of service.Thompson was previously the managing director of Synovate Korea, where he more than doubled the company’s revenues over the past five years. He earlier served as Synovate’s managing director in the Philippines.
