CB Richard Ellis, the world’s largest commercial real estate services firm, has promoted Richard Curran, who will become managing director of the company’s Czech division.

Curran, 36, joined the Prague office of CBRE in 2003, serving as the head of agency and corporate services with responsibility for the office, industrial and retail teams. He has worked on the commercial property market of the Czech Republic for the past 10 years. He holds a degree in HR management and accounting from the National College of Ireland.
The international tax and advisory firm PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) has appointed a new head to its human resources division in Prague. Katarína Smrčeková joins PwC from Hay Management International, where she worked for 10 years.

At Hay, Smrčeková, 33, was responsible for many HR projects, such as transforming the company’s HR management and the designing of motivational programs and remuneration schemes. Her clients included T-Mobile, PRE, ČEZ, Tesco, Ahold, HVB, DHL IT, Danone, Cetelem and many others. She is also responsible for the firm’s partnership with Czech Employer of Choice.
Smrčeková graduated from the Faculty of Arts at Masaryk University in Brno and the Faculty of Theater at the Janacek Academy of Music Arts. She is a Slovak native and speaks Czech and English fluently.
The commercial property consulting firm King Sturge has hired Lucie Šindlerová to serve as the company’s head of property management. Šindlerová will lead the management of the company’s portfolio of more than 300,000 square meters (3,230,000 square feet) of office space. She has managed some 50,000 square meters of office space in Prague on behalf of several ownership groups.
Raiffeisenbank and eBanka have added a new member to their boards of directors, Jan Kubín, who replaces a spot on the boards vacated by Igor Helekal. Raiffeisenbank is in the process of integrating eBanka into its system, which Kubín has been managing. On the board, his responsiblities will also include management of operations and supporting services.
Kubín, 34, has worked at Raiffeisenbank since 2004, when he joined as financial director. Last year, he became the integration manager in charge of the merger. Before joining Raiffeisenbank, he worked for six years as a consultant and project manager at McKinsey and Company, a consulting firm, where he worked in eight different countries. Kubín studied economics and graduated from the Faculty of Social Sciences at Charles University.
GE Money Auto has appointed Tomáš Kučera as the company’s new commercial director. Kučera, 40, will be responsible for the firm’s regional business network, focused on strengthening GE Money Auto’s position on the car leasing market.
Kučera is a graduate of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the Czech Technical University. He joined GE Money Auto in 2000, leading a team in charge of truck financing.
