The giant home-care and food product multinational, Unilever, has shuffled its executive staff in the region.

Tracey Rogers will become the company’s new general director for Central Europe, in charge of the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Slovenia, Croatia and Bosnia-Herzegovina. Rogers previously worked as Unilever’s general director in Hungary, where she served since 2005. She has worked for the company since 1991. Reporting to Rogers will be the company’s new acting director in the Czech Republic, Antonín Jiroušek. Jiroušek started with Unilever in 1992, previously working at Setuza and PTZ, which Unilever acquired. He is a graduate of the Institute of Chemical Technology in Prague and an expert in production technology.

Vodafone Czech Republic has announced that David Duroň, former general director of the Internet portal Atlas.cz, will be joining the company as its marketing director for private customers.

Duroň has spent a considerable part of his career in the telecom sector, holding management positions at T-Mobile, GTS Novera and Telefónica O2 (formerly Český Telecom), where he was the chief marketing officer.During Duroň’s time at Atlas.cz, the company underwent significant changes, adding new maps, e-mail, catalog services and exclusive cooperation with ICQ. MaMaison Hotels & Apartments, a division of the ORCO Property Group, has appointed J.J. Doran as the firm’s new sales and marketing director.

Prior to joining MaMaison, Doran was the director of international business development for Marriott New York City Hotels. There Doran was responsible for promoting the chain in Europe, Africa and the Middle East, with a particular focus on the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Scandinavia and Russia.The law firm of Havel & Holásek has added two lawyers to its Russian-advisory desk, Natalija Traurigová and Jana Ilovičná, both native Russian speakers.

Traurigová, 28, will focus primarily on corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, environmental law and regulatory and energy law. She received a Ph.D. from Charles University in 2004; she graduated from the university’s law faculty in 2000. She has previously worked at the law firms of Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer and Vejmelka & Wünsch. Ilovičná, 29, will focus on corporate law and mergers and acquisitions; she will also specialize in optimizing the taxes of international holding companies.
