New execs for PwC

The international consulting firm PricewaterhouseCoopers has introduced several new executives to its Prague office, appointing Lenka Mrázová and Marek Romancov as directors in its tax and legal services department.
Mrázová will be responsible for advice related to the preparation of corporate income tax returns and for managing the financial and payroll accounting department. Mrázová has provided tax advice for more than 15 years since graduating from the University of Economics in Prague. She is both a member of the Chamber of Tax Advisers as well as the Chamber of Auditors of the Czech Republic. Romancov will be responsible for providing tax services related to transfer pricing. He specializes in the automotive sector. Romancov holds an economics degree from Charles University. He is a registered tax adviser and a member of the Association of Certified Accountants (ACCA).Other major personnel changes occurred in the assurance department, where Věra Výtvarová, Jiří Posker, Jiří Zouhar, Václav Prýmek and Milan Zelený have been nominated as directors.
Výtvarová will be responsible for audit and assurance services for international and domestic companies in the industrial products, retail and services sectors.Posker has led PwC’s Ostrava office since 2002. He will continue to provide audit and assurance services to clients operating mainly in the consumer and industrial products sectors, especially in Moravia. Zouhar will be responsible for audit and assurance services to clients active mainly in the industrial products and retail sectors. He will also provide advice in the area of U.S. accounting standards (U.S. GAAP) to companies operating in Central and Eastern Europe.Prýmek will supervise audit services and strategic accounting consulting to clients operating in the gas industry and technology.Zelený, who leads the Prague-based accounting advisers who help other PwC teams in the country with their auditing, will be providing accounting advice to Czech clients in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) in Central and Eastern Europe.Vít Šubert, in addition to working the past four years as the marketing manager for Dell Computers in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, has been appointed to lead the company’s marketing activities in Ireland, Poland and Portugal. At the same time, he was named to Dell’s board of directors in the region.
Šubert studied general management and advanced technologies at the INSEAD Business School in Fontainebleau, France. He joined the marketing department of Philip Morris in 1992 and in 2001 became general director of the alternative telecom company Nextra Czech Republic.
