Changes brew at Budvar

The planned transformation of the Budějovický Budvar brewery from state-held company to joint-stock company has brought changes in Budvar’s supervisory board. Agriculture Minister Petr Gandalovič introduced five new executives to the nine-member board June 1. The new board members are Libor Kudláček, Josef Skácel, Filip Dvořák, Tomáš Uvíra and Robin Schinko.

Nitzsche
The logistics company UPS SCS (Supply Chain Solutions) has named Thomas Nitzsche its country manager for Slovakia. Nitzsche previously oversaw operations in the Czech Republic, and now his span of control will expand to both the domestic and Slovak markets. Nitzsche, a logistics guru who has been in the sector since 1987, joined UPS SCS in 2001. Since then, he has worked as the director of service parts logistics in the CEE region and later as the director of program management in the region of Europe, the Middle East and Africa. He took over UPS SCS in the Czech Republic last year.
Jiří Drbohlav
recently became an executive director of real estate leasing company Immorent CR. He shares management duties with the company’s other executive director, Tomáš Velemínský, who will keep his current position. Drbohlav has rich experience in the banking sector. He participated in the launch of Commerzbank’s Prague subsidiary and later on worked for HVB Bank as director of the regional corporate clients department in Prague. He has also headed HVB’s strategy department. Drbohlav joins Immorent from ČSOB bank, where he was the regional director for corporate clients for the regions of Prague and central Bohemia.
Drbohlav studied at the University of Economics in Prague, and at the European Business School in Germany and Wirtschaftsuniversität in Vienna.
Konečný
Information technology company Empire has hired Pavel Konečný to the newly created position of marketing manager. He will be responsible for overseeing brand-support campaigns, analyzing market opportunities and public relations management.
Konečný worked as a marketing manager in the telecommunications sector for 11 years, most recently with Telefónica O2.
Italian Andrea Colombo was appointed to the helm of the Makro Cash & Carry wholesale chain in the Czech Republic. He replaces Martin Dlouhý, who has moved to work as the chain’s country manager in India. Before moving to Prague, Colombo worked as the director of food sales at Metro Cash & Carry in Italy.
Maršál
Broadband provider Pe3nyNet has boosted its communications department by hiring Zdeněk Maršál, who will become the company’s communications and development director. Besides his new job, Maršál will continue to work as a PR partner at the Aspen PR agency, where he is responsible for promoting IT and telecommunications projects.
