Michal Čupa, general director of Microsoft Czech Republic, has been appointed Microsoft’s general director for online services in Russia. Čupa took over management of Microsoft Czech Republic last year, after a previous stint in Russia, where he headed Golden Telecom. Under Čupa’s guidance, Microsoft Czech Republic gained worldwide recognition, recently being named Microsoft’s best national outlet for the past six months.

While managing Microsoft’s online services in Russia, he is expected to continue supervising the Czech branch at least until the end of this year.
Moggee
KPMG in Central and Eastern Europe has announced several appointments recently made to its Central and Eastern European (CEE) forensic services team, which offers investigation, dispute advisory and regulatory services in the Czech Republic and throughout CEE.
Michael Peer has been appointed as a director of KPMG in Central and Eastern Europe, responsible for assisting clients with accounting-related disputes. Peer, a certified fraud examiner who is registered as a chartered accountant in Canada, has so far worked in over 30 countries throughout Asia, the Middle East, Europe, the Caribbean, Africa and the Americas.
Watterson
Meanwhile, Ruben Moggee has become KPMG’s senior manager responsible for fraud risk management. Moggee previously worked as a manager in KPMG’s forensic team in South Africa. He has been focusing on the energy and natural resources sectors.
David Watterson was assigned to work as a manager responsible for forensic technology in CEE. Watterson has conducted all types of forensic technology work, from examining a single employee’s computer hard drive for evidence of misuse at a small manufacturing company to working as part of a global team seizing and preparing vast quantities of paper and electronic documents as part of ongoing litigation at a large multinational.
Hladká
Last but not least, Pavla Hladká was named manager responsible for forensic audits in the Czech branch of KPMG. She will be responsible for assisting clients with forensic audits and investigations.
As they prepare for a merger that is scheduled to take place by the end of this year, Živnostenská banka and HVB Bank have unified their board of directors. Jiří Kunert, the CEO and chairman of the board at Živnostenská banka, was appointed the first deputy CEO and vice chairman of the board of directors of HVB Bank April 1. Similarly, HVB Bank’s CEO and chairman, David Grund, became a first deputy CEO and vice chairman at Živnostenská banka.
