Prague based law firm Kocián Šolc Balaštík (KSB) has expanded its team of partners to eight by appointing Pavel Dejl and Václav Rovenský.Rovenský joined KSB in 1995 and has been an advocate since 1996. His areas of practice and specialization are energy law, environmental law, property law, construction law and infrastructure projects. Rovenský obtained a law degree from Charles University in Prague, where he also completed his postgraduate doctoral studies in international law and obtained a Ph.D. degree.

Dejl joined KSB and became an advocate in 1998. His areas of expertise are community, competition and insolvency law, litigation and arbitration. He is highly respected in his field by international legal publications, including The International Who’s Who of Competition Lawyers, which lists him as a leading competition law expert in the Czech Republic. Dejl is KSB’s representative in the Antitrust Alliance, an association of the anti-trust teams of independent law firms in EU member countries. In his academic experience, Dejl has taught European law at the Law Faculty of the University of West Bohemia in Plzeň. He graduated with law degrees from Charles University in Prague and the University of Amsterdam and completed his postgraduate doctoral studies in private law at the Law Faculty of Charles University, where he obtained a Ph.D. degree.Software company Cleverlance recently entrusted Václav Lavička to oversee compliance of products with current market trends. Lavička, who was named chief operation officer, joined Cleverlance from telecommunications company Vodafone, where he most recently worked as a senior manager for project management.Lavička graduated from Charles University’s Mathematics and Physics Faculty. He previously worked with IT companies PA Consulting Group and Logica.

Tománková
|
In another change, Denisa Tománková was introduced as the new human resources manager. Tománková has a psychology degree from the University of Prešov in Slovakia and also studied mathematics at the Pavel Jozef Šafárik University in Košice, Slovakia. She has been working in Cleverlance’s human resources department since 2004.Another IT company, Logos, announced changes.

Schiffnerová
|
Jana Schiffnerová was named human resources director. She previously worked as development manager for education programs for Logos employees.She graduated from the University of Economics in Prague and previously worked at Česká spořitelna’s building society.Meanwhile, David Ženčák filled the newly created position of Logos’ business and development director. His main responsibility will be to manage a team of experts outsourced by Komerční banka. Ženčák previously worked at Logos as a project manager and the head of the consultancy and analysis department.
