Prague 5’s skyline will soon be getting a brand new look — the Hřebenky Z, an eight-story residential building named after the neighborhood it’s going up in. The complex, which will include 23 apartments and four studios, is expected to be finished by spring 2008. Hřebenky Z combines two basic principles of modern architecture: plan libre, which is marked by big, open spaces, and raumplan, which is based on different levels of floors and ceilings.

Construction on the Corso IIA office complex in Prague 8 began late last year.

Occupying a prime location in one of the most vibrant and rapidly developing business districts of the city, the new Oasis Florenc complex will consist of both office and retail space, including a post office, supermarket, bank, hairdresser and coffee shop. The building, which will have fully-accessible raised metal floors, will also have 141 parking spaces. Units will be ready for lease by September.

Price of office space: 13–16 euros per square meter plus services per month
Construction began: December 2006
Name of developer: Real Estate Karlín Group
Following the outstandingly high success of the Corso Karlín administrative building on Křižíkova street, Real Estate Karlín Group has announced a new project: the Corso IIA building. This new building will attach to the Corso Karlín, a four-level structure with 9,900 square meters of floor space that was completed in 2001. The Corso IIA project will include a three-story underground parking structure.
