Colliers gets new director

Real estate services company Colliers International has appointed Thomas Ridout, a 20-year Colliers veteran, as managing director of operations in the Czech Republic. Based primarily in Canada for most of his career, Ridout is a Colliers global corporate services specialist. He brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the Prague real estate market. He will focus on growing the corporate services department, and significant growth is also planned for Colliers’ existing office, industrial, investment and valuation teams.
From a regional point of view, under Ridout’s leadership, Colliers International plans to expand its Central and East European corporate services capabilities, with Prague as its primary headquarters.
Jiří Donát joined global consultancy company AT Kearney as associate director. In his new role, he will manage international projects and develop the company offerings in the areas of IT transformation and telecommunications. Previously, Donát was country manager of the Czech subsidiary of software company Lotus Development (part of IBM), served for three years as manager and then senior manager of Deloitte, and recently worked as managing consultant for Capgemini.

Donát graduated in mathematics and got his Ph.D. in computer science at the Czech Technical University in Prague. He is the author of two books and one TV and one radio series, all about future technology. He is also a regular contributor to the media on the topics of IT and economics, frequent conference speaker and teacher in MBA programs for the University of Northern Virginia.
Prague hospitality sector guru Tarek Dallal has returned from a two-year stint in Warsaw to take over the position of the new managing director at the Courtyard by Marriott Prague Flóra. In Poland, Dallal worked as director of sales and marketing at the Warsaw Marriott Hotel.
He first joined the local hospitality industry after graduating from Les Roches School of Hotel Management in Switzerland, and in 1994 he joined the Renaissance Prague Hotel as cost controller. He later worked in various managerial positions at the Renaissance. In 1997, Dallal received the Young Manager of the Year Award, organized by the National Federation of Hotels and Restaurants. When the Prague Marriott opened in 1999, he was appointed to head the event management department. Two years later, his duties were extended to cover the Marriott Executive Apartments. He was then also appointed director of sales and marketing of the Marriott cluster.
Břĺnková
Synergie Recruitment appointed Gabriela Břínková senior consultant to its Czech operations. She will manage business development of the information technology and telecommunications team.
She received her bachelor’s degree from Masaryk University in Brno, then studied at the Nottingham Trend University, where she obtained her master’s of science degree in management and economics. During her studies, she began working with Hewlett-Packard, where she started in the technology services group as a business development specialist in 2003.
