The American Chamber of Commerce hosts a speaker series presentation with Roman Onderka, mayor of Brno, South Moravia. The Social Democrat was elected as the new mayor after the June 2006 elections, ending more than 15 years of Civic Democratic domination in the region. The Nordic Chamber of Commerce will hold a four-hour workshop on the new Labor Code. The workshop is free for chamber members and 600 Kč ($28) for nonmembers. The application deadline has passed. For more information, visit www.nordicchamber.cz.
