Thomas Hrubý, partner at law firm Hrubý & Buchvaldek, stays on as senior vice president. The other three directors are Erwin Brunner, vice president of operations in Europe for Celestica Czech Republic, one of the most important Canadian business presences in this country; Jiří Krejča, managing director of Travelex Czech Republic; and Stephen Lukas, president and CEO of Vienna Woods Limited, an investment company from Ontario. The board includes senior managers serving as CEOs for other Canadian companies here: Libor Chytrý, of Intier Automotive Seating Chomutov, and Juraj Koza, of Nortel Networks, were newly elected, while Radek Moravec of McCain Foods Czech Republic remains.
Also remaining for the new two-year period are the managing directors of CzechInvest and CzechTrade, Tomáš Hruda and Ivan Jukl, respectively; Jiří Nykodým, country senior officer of Alcatel-Lucent; Monika Fraňková, head of Česká spořitelna's Expat Center; and former Prague Post General Manager Eva Anderová. Two board seats are held by Canadians holding managerial positions in international firms: Bob Demare of DHL served on the previous board, as well, while Adam Sherriff-Scott of Colliers International is a new member. Daniela Hornová became public relations manager for truck company Scania Czech Republic, replacing Martina Jirásková, who worked there since 1995. Hornová studied international trade and journalism at the University of Economics in Prague. She honed her skills at Ogilvy PR and AMI Communications.
