Major consultancy company KPMG Czech Republic has appointed a number of new partners to its Prague office.

Jana Bartyzalová mainly specializes in personal-income-tax issues, as well as international executive taxation. She also serves large international companies in various sectors, including the area of corporate income tax and the taxation of permanent establishments and branches.

Bartyzalová was among the first employees at the first KPMG office in the Czech Republic in 1990. She was promoted to manager in 1994 and senior manager in 1997.

Petr Sikora has become a partner in the audit department. In recent years, Sikora has provided audit services across a range of industries — in particular, construction, energy and trade. Sikora is a certified tax adviser, as well as a certified auditor. His main areas of specialization include business processes and internal controls, shared services, IT risk management, project management and changes to U.S. corporate law in the wake of several high-profile accounting scandals.

David Scott joined KPMG Czech Republic in November 2004. He will provide IT advisory services to local clients, as well as regional and international groups. Scott worked with KPMG in England, as well as Switzerland, Chile and Malaysia.

Scott got his bachelor's degree in accounting in 1991, and he qualified as a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland.

Eva Doyle replaced Euan Tawse as a partner in KPMG's tax department. Tawse recently retired, after 10 years at KPMG Czech Republic and more than 26 years with KPMG member firms. Doyle will be responsible for mergers and acquisitions and international tax, with a special focus on real estate. She is also the head of the mergers and acquisitions tax department for KPMG in Central and Eastern Europe. Doyle holds an LL.B from Dublin University. She is a Chartered Tax Adviser and a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
