Law firm adds third ČR partnerMovers & Shakers | Search restaurants | Archives By František Bouc Staff Writer, The Prague Post September 27th, 2006 issue The Prague office of the international law firm Norton Rose has appointed its third partner, Milana Chamberlain. Chamberlain graduated from the Prague University of Economics before training as a lawyer in the United Kingdom. She qualified as a solicitor with Norton Rose in London in 1998 and worked there as a corporate finance lawyer until earlier this year. She is a certified English lawyer, a member of the Law Society in England and Wales and registered on the Czech bar roll as a European Advocate. Chamberlain advises on domestic and international mergers, acquisitions and restructurings and on public procurement issues mainly in the transport, financial institution and technology sectors. In London, Chamberlain was an active supporter of Anglo-Czech business and cultural relationships. The country's leading brewery, Pilsner Urquell, hired Marek Hlavica as its new corporate communications manager. Hlavica kicked off his professional career as a journalist, working as the director of Mladý svět (World of Youth) magazine. In the mid-1990s, he briefly worked as TV Nova's head of public relations and marketing. From 2000 to 2002, he worked as a communications manager for Philip Morris Czech Republic, before joining Citibank as a public affairs manager from 2002 to 2004. Prior to joining Pilsner Urquell, he worked for the power giant ČEZ as the head of communications. The Colliers International Investment Advisory Group's Prague office has expanded, hiring Paul Moore and Meagan Caldwell. The duo arrives from the Colliers International Los Angeles office, where they both specialized in investment sales. Moore will focus on retail investment sales in Prague and the Czech Republic. He was awarded "Rookie of the Year" in 2004 for the highest gross sales among Colliers professionals in the 13-office Los Angeles region. Caldwell will be responsible for marketing and building up the Colliers brand in the Czech Republic investment arena. Caldwell was part of a senior institutional investment team in Los Angeles, where she was responsible for marketing more than $300 million (6.7 billion Kč) worth of properties around the United States.
