Czech Airlines (ťSA) has appointed Jan Janík vice president for air traffic. His predecessor, Peter Jusko, is now VP for land operations.

Janík is a graduate of the Czech Technical University in Prague. He started working in the airline industry in 2002, when he joined jet maker Aero Vodochody. Janík's interest in flying took him to ťSA, where he became a Boeing 747 pilot in 2004 and later flew the Airbus 320.

PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) has announced a few new appointments in its Czech and Slovak offices.

Reinhard Langenhövel has been made a lead partner in PwC's Assurance Services department. Langenhövel began working for PwC in September 1993. He has focused on consumer and industrial products and the energy and utilities sectors. He became a partner in 2002.

Langenhövel has a degree in business administration from the University of Münster in Germany. He is a qualified German statutory auditor and German tax adviser.

Meanwhile, Jan Vylita has been entrusted with coordinating and developing PwC's transactions and crisis management services departments in Slovakia.

Vylita has been with PwC since 1996. He specializes in fraud investigation but has also been involved in a broad range of corporate transactions. Vylita is a graduate of the Prague Institute of Chemical Technology and a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.
