In the mood for love? Restaurants around town will offer special recipes designed just for lovers.

On Tuesday, Feb. 14, a number of Prague restaurants offer St. Valentine's Day menus designed for lovers. While destinations like the Hilton offer opportunities to splash out in style (think "limousine"), there are options for almost every budget, like the 795 Kč three-course meal at Square, or the complimentary cigars and amatory equipment at Bar and Books.

Alcron

This intimate seafood restaurant sweetens the deal with separate his-and-hers menus: for him, Canadian lobster salad and scallops with truffles in cauliflower soup. For her, tuna tartare and seared foie gras with lobster bisque and grilled artichokes. To share: seabass roasted in salt crust with extra virgin olive oil and marinated vegetables. For dessert, a Valentine's Day surprise. The price for two is 4,200 Kč ($178.50). Štěpánská 40, Prague 1–New Town (at the Radisson SAS Alcron). Tel. 222 820 038.

Allegro

Cara mia, you'll start with a glass of Ca' del Bosco, followed by scallops carpaccio with sevruga, lobster gratinée with black truffles, choosing as main courses either fettuccine with artichokes and red snapper ragout, veal in olive crust with potatoes and shallot sauce, or both. For dessert, a milk chocolate heart with strawberry chibouse and wine granita. Not that you need to worry about the price, my love, but four courses are 2,200 Kč, five courses 2,500 Kč. Allegro, Veleslavinova 2a (inside the Four Seasons hotel), Prague 1–Old Town. Tel. 221 427 000.

Bar and Books

Turn down the lights and turn up the Barry White: This smooth Old Town lounge offers dancing to romantic music with complimentary strawberry fondue and a cigar for the ladies with the purchase of any bottle of Champagne. For gents, the evening includes complimentary flavored prophylactics. Class. Týnská 19, Prague 1–Old Town. Tel. 224 808 250.

Cihelna

The club and restaurant inside this former brickworks serves a dinner menu of tuna carpaccio nicoise with poached quail egg and haricots verts, monkfish with sugar snowpea ragout, potatoes Anna and sauce Dodine, followed by rhubarb-strawberry cake with Champagne sorbet for dessert. The price is 950 Kč. Cihelna 2b, Prague 1–Malá Strana. Tel. 800 152 672.

Cowboys

The city's first Western steakhouse romances you Brokeback Mountain–style, featuring an appetizer of shrimp, avocado, lumpfish roe, cocktail sauce and toast, followed by a main course of beef scaloppini with zucchini spaghetti, grilled tomatoes and potato lace. Dessert is a brownie with a sorbet trio. The price is 895 Kč. Nerudova 40, Prague 1–Malá Strana, Tel. 800 152 672.

CzecHouse

The Hilton's evening begins with a limousine ride and a glass of sekt, followed by a four-course meal in the renewed CzecHouse: red tuna and wild salmon tartare with crispy fennel followed by lobster ravioli with roasted scampi.
