RPG Industries, an international industrial investment holding company that controls north Moravian mining company OKD through its Czech arm, Charles Capital, has hired Tomás Sabatka to manage its industrial acquisitions in the Central European region.
Sabatka, who previously worked in the paper industry, will head a team of managers maintaining RPG's industrial investments.
Sabatka holds a master's degree in engineering from the Czech Technical University (CVUT). For over 14 years, Sabatka was the head of Sepap, a Czech paper manufacturer. Last year, Sepap's owner, Mondi Packaging Paper, named Sabatka vice president for Eastern Europe and southern Africa. Sabatka ended his work for Mondi in late August and is ready to pursue new challenges at RPG Industries in late September.
Another CVUT graduate, Marek Sedlák, was appointed channel manager at printing hardware manufacturer OKI Systems. Similar to its business practices in other countries worldwide, OKI sells its products in this country through a network of authorized dealers. In his new position of channel manager, Sedlák will maintain communications with current dealers and work to expand OKI's sales channels here.
After four years of successfully working as a senior account manager at public relations firm Mmd, Hana Kucerová was promoted to the position of IT account director, whereby she will head the firm's IT consulting team. The Mmd IT team's clients include GTS Novera, IBM, Intel, Nokia and OKI Systems. Kucerová replaced Milan Deutsch, who moved on to work as Mmd's client services director for Central and Eastern Europe.
The rising Internet portal Seznam.cz recently introduced a new spokeswoman, Rita Gabrielová. She's been active in the communications field for over 10 years. Gabrielová kicked off her professional career as a news reporter on TV Nova, later moving on to become a spokeswoman for the Environment Ministry. Most recently, Gabrielová was spokeswoman for energy company MVV Energie CZ.
Peter Jurco has been appointed as a consultant at real estate giant Colliers International, where he will focus on providing appraisals of real estate projects. Prior to joining Colliers, Jurco appraised various types of real estate throughout the United States and proposed developments. In 2004 Jurco received the Illinois General Certificate, which enabled him to appraise all types of real estate. Besides native English, he speaks Czech and Slovak.
